Kindle Fire Screen

I got a Kindle Fire for Christmas, and I have already cracked the "unbreakable" screen, just by putting it in the safest pocket in my backpack. I watched a video online, and apparently, the Kindle Fire screen cannot be cracked by a screwdriver or a knife. I hope they fix it at Amazon for free, as they never said that I could not put it in a backpack.
